Too many young people graduate high school without the essential tools they need to understand the economy. Understanding economics equips people with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions and understand the world around them.  

I graduated high school with no idea how to [INPUT INFORMATION YOU WISH YOU KNEW BEFORE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL]. If we want young people to succeed, we need to give them the tools needed to navigate and understand the economy.  

This #EconEdMonth I want you to prioritize making sure every student in the state receives an economic education. I encourage you to [SUPPORT EXISTING BILL – SEE TOOLKIT] or support efforts in your state to make economics a requirement in K-12 curriculum.

By the time students in our state graduate high school, they will have had access to the tools they need to actively participate in the economy. We want to encourage you to continue to support these efforts because an economic education should be a regular aspect of K-12 education.
